Web Developer - Software Localization Industry

Localize Technologies is looking for motivated Web Developers / Software Engineers.

Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of all our web applications, including Internet and Intranet.

Qualification

The candidate must be knowledgeable, or willing and able to learn quickly the tools needed to perform the duties.

Skills required

• Advanced knowledge of ASP.net, VB and C# technologies
• Very good understanding of XML, and working knowledge of HTML (i.e. able to hand code static web pages).
• Bachelor of Science, preferably with a major in Computer Science or another relevant field, or relevant work experience.

Will be considered a plus

• Ability to write scripts and macro commands in one or more computing languages, preferably with VBA, AppleScript, and Perl.
• Comfortable with both Windows, Linux and Mac environments.
• Development knowledge in other languages such ASP, Java, C++, and Apple Xcode environment.
• Experience in Localization/Globalization, and in globalization tools (Trados, StarTransit, RC WinTrans, Alchemy Catalyst, Passolo, AppleGlot, PowerGlot, Idiom WorldServer).
• Knowledge of the following software: Dreamweaver, Framemaker, InDesign, Pages, Keynote, RobotHelp, Windows Help Workshop, Interface Builder.
• Understanding Double-byte encoding and Bi-directional languages requirements
• Fluency in other languages, in addition to English.

This position is based in our Redwood Shores, CA office.
